A key element of thriving is an authentic valuation of life. We find this important as life has been replaced with efficiency as the primary design motivator. Efficiency makes sense for machines, but not living beings. Integrating life into design happens two ways with us. First, by increasing the level of expression and personality into a space, and second, by introducing biodiversity into our designed environments. Together, these are fundamental ingredients in the recipe for thriving.
